Titanic is an incredible movie. I've seen it seven times at the theater and now that i own the video, I'll be seeing it a million more times. There are thousands of Titanic websights, all with the same pictures and sound bites, and i thought about not making a Titanic web sight, but how could i not pay tribute to something i love so much? So, I decided to focus on the parts that really touched me. Titanic is such an awe inspiring emotional adventure, that it's hard to pick a favorite scene or a most important scene, when i think of one i think of nine more I've neglected, So....here goes....

I think the moment we first see young Rose is a very striking moment. The camera is shooting from up above, the car door opens, a gloved hand comes out, a man takes hold of the hand, she steps out and all we really see is that gorgeous big purple hat, and as she begins to look up, the camera begins to zoom down and in on her and we finally get to see that beautiful face, and then in a very upper class snotty way, she says, "It doesn't look any bigger than the Maratania(sp?)". It's just such an awesome shot, the camera moving down as she looks up, i love it!

The "I'm Flying" scene is one of the most romantic movie scene's I've ever seen. The innocence and love in that scene really endeared Jack and Rose to me (as if they weren't aleady in my heart forever). As the scene ends, you get to see some of the great special effects in the movie, and by the special effects the true tragedy (real and fiction) of the situation is made very real. Seeing Jack and Rose kissing on the ship of dreams slowly become Jack and Rose superimposed on the ghost ship was a memorable moment for me.

I think the "Unable to Stay, Unwilling to Leave" scene is the second most heartbreaking moment in the movie, Seeing Rose in the boat looking up at Jack, who was looking down at her. You want her to survive, yet you don't want her to leave him, I think the title of the music played at this point is a perfect title for the scene. This is the scene where i started to cry duing the movie. Another reason i like this scene is that it's another example of the strenght of Rose's character, and of her taking charge of her life. She's decided Jack is worth the risk and she jumps.

"Rose, listen to me. Listen. Winning that ticket was the best thing that ever happened to me. It brought me to you. And I'm thankful,Rose. I'm thankful. You must do me this honor...promise me you will survive.. that you will never give up...no matter what happens.. no matter how hopeless... promise me now, and never let go of that promise. "

I sob uncontrollably during this scene it is the most heartbreaking yet truly romantic moment , i don't think i need to explain why.

The perfect ending to a perfect movie. Obviously in a movie about a real life tragedy, you can't have both of the lovers survive, so this is the next best thing. I know the romantic in me always wants to see the guy and the girl together at the end, and i loved that even though Jack died we still got to have that. Rose dying (in old age) and returning to her true love is just a great ending and shows the genius of James Cameron.
